Kanneliya is a beautiful rain forest reserve in the Southern Province of Sri Lanka.this forest r is the largest rainforest in current Sri Lanka, other than the Sinharaja Rainforest. The forest is situated 35km northwest of the City of Galle; and it has most important rivers in southern Sri Lanka, Gin Ganga and Nilwala Ganga.
The Kanneliya Rainforest has many beautiful sights to see. But key amongst these are four of them. The Anagimale Falls is an extremely attractive .
It is the best place to hiking. it has a wonderful climate. The path of this forest is awesome. It has a small rocks,grass, lots of trees, small waterfalls,small water lakes and caves. Most of tourists like this place.
It is biosphere reserve in 2004 by UNESCO, this forest has most species including 86 species of mammals, 36 species of snakes, and several species of avian life and fish. Amongst the bird species here
